What are the dates of this year's Air Show?
The event dates for the 2008 Baraboo-Dells Air Show are FRI-SAT-SUN, June 27-29, 2008.
The Baraboo-Dells Air Show provides an entire weekend of exciting, family-oriented entertainment. In addition to the exciting air show, patrons can enjoy the new Sport Aircraft Showcase, the Classic Car Show’s vintage car displays, food and commercial vendors; antique, classic, warbirds and experimental aircraft on static display, military displays, helicopter and airplane rides and other exhibits.

What about the traffic on HIGHWAY 12?
The construction crews will NOT be working on Hwy 12 during the weekend of the air show. This means that traffic going in and out of the airport will again be a smooth transition, and we do not anticipate any delays coming in and out of the air show.

What's new for this year's Air Show?
There are many new exciting air show acts, and the Sport Aircraft Showcase Flight Demonstrations will again be featured as part of the air show. Over twenty types of Sport and Light Sport Aircraft will be flying in to the air show this year. The Classic Car Show will also be bigger and better this year! Please visit the "Performers" page for up to date information on air show performers and acts. The Kids Fun Zone will also be expanded, with new rides, Mon and Kids don't miss Capt. Eugene Nock and the original BATCOPTER!!

When is the Friday Night Air Show Spectacular?
The NITE Air Show is on Friday, June 27, 2008, starting at 8 p.m. (dusk)

When do the gates open for the Friday Night Air Show Spectacular?
Gates open for general seating on Friday, June 27, open t 6 p.m.

How long are the Air Show grounds open during the event?
FRI, June 27th: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
SAT & SUN, June 28-29: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Where is the Air Show, and how do I get there?
The air show is located at the Baraboo-Dells Municipal Airport, north of the City of Baraboo, along Highway 12. The address is South 3440 Highway 12, Baraboo, Wis.

What is the cost of admission to the Air Show?
Admission is $7 for adults, and $3 for kids 8 and up. Children under the age of 8 are admitted free of charge. There are no advance ticket prices, and each ticket is only good for ONE day.

What time should I arrive, and what time is the Air Show?
The gates open at 9am. Events and demonstrations will start at approx 10:30am and the official air show will begin at 1pm and last to about 4pm. The gates will close a 6 pm.

Are credit cards accepted at the gate?
No, we do not accept credit card purchases at the main gate.

How much is parking?
Air Show parking is free with the purchase of a ticket.

Will there be a shuttle from parking area?
No, there is no air show shuttle, and the distance from the parking areas to the air show seating area is approx 200 yards.

Is handicapped parking available?
Yes, there is limited handicapped parking space available in the Baraboo-Dells Airport parking area, adjacent to the main airport terminal. Air Show directors will assist you to park in these areas.

Is parking going to be a problem?
No, there will be ample parking available at the Baraboo-Dells Municipal Airport. We have plenty of signs and people directing traffic.

Will there be parking for RV’s or Motorcycles?
Yes, we will direct you to those parking areas.

What should I bring to the Air Show?
Bring sunscreen, walking shoes, hat, lip balm, sunglasses, lawn chairs/ blanket, and your camera. Check the forecast before you come so you know if you will need to bring a light jacket or umbrella.

What items are prohibited on the airport grounds?
Prohibited items include knives (no matter how long), firearms, walking sticks (except for handicap use), pepper spray/mace, stun guns, scissors, box cutters, throwing stars, nun chucks, backpacks, duffle bags, briefcases, big camera bags, and big fanny packs. To help ensure visitor, volunteer, participant, and staff safety, all persons and purses will be subject to search upon entering the airport grounds. Please anticipate this safety measure at the entrance gates when attending the Baraboo-Dells Air Show. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Are cans, bottles, or coolers permitted?
NO. CANS, BOTTLES OR COOLERS ARE NOT PERMITTED. All items are subject to search. You may bring in a water bottle that is in a plastic container.

Can I bring lawn chairs, blankets and chairs to the Air Show?
Yes, there will be ample space on the smooth grass at the airport.

Can I bring a stroller, diaper bag or supplies for my infant or young children on to the Air Show grounds?
Absolutely! Please bring the necessary items your children will require for an afternoon outdoors at an air show with limited facilities.

Are strollers or wheelchairs available for rent?
We do not have srollers or wheelchairs are permitted but not provided or available for rent.

Are pets allowed on the airport grounds?
NO. Pets are not allowed on the airport grounds or allowed to be left in cars inside the event's parking area. The NO-PET enforcement will be strictly observed.

Can I bring food and drinks in the grounds?
Food and drinks are not permitted. A wide variety of food and drinks are available on the grounds.

Will there be food and beverage vendors?
Yes, there will be concession booths where food and beverages can be purchased, including Culver’s ice cream, and food items offered by Embers Restaurant and Moosejaw Pizza.

Are roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, or personal golf carts permitted on the airport grounds?
No, none of these items are permitted due to security and safety restrictions.

Are cameras allowed?
Yes, cameras are allowed (still, video, digital). Your camera bags will be subject to search at the gates.

What will I miss if I'm watching the Air Show from off the show grounds?
Yes you can see the airplanes flying from many locations, but a large percentage of the air show is on the grounds. The static displays give you the opportunity to touch and feel the airplanes. Many of the performers plan their maneuvers close to the ground in front of the spectators that makes an incredible show. Bottom line...you're missing the air show if not on the grounds. If you like the airplanes and air shows we need your support... Please come through the gates to ensure the success of future shows.

Are there senior and military discounts?
No, due to the low admission fee already in place, there are no senior or military discounts available at this time.

What happens if the weather is bad?
We always plan for beautiful Wisconsin weather during the air show weekend, but the air show will go on rain or shine. There are no refunds and no rain dates for the event.

Do you have any bleacher seating?
No. There is plenty of seating on the airport’s beautiful grass areas, located in the prime viewing areas. Lawn chairs and blankets are permitted and recommended for spectator seating.

Is camping allowed at the Air Show?
Camping is NOT allowed at the Baraboo-Dells Municipal Airport, unless you are a pilot and / or owner of an aircraft flying into the air show, or on static display.

Can I touch the airplanes and other static displays?
When you’re near aircraft, the rule is: "Always ask before touching."

Is smoking allowed on the Air Show Grounds?
When you’re near aircraft, the rule is: "For safety’s sake, smoking is not allowed near airplanes.”

Will there be helicopter and airplane rides available for purchase during the weekend?
Yes, we anticipate that rides will be available and can be purchased the day of the event.

Will first aid be available?
Yes, First aid will be provided onsite. An ambulance and fire crew will also be here to assist you.
